lengthy interconnects

I need to set up a dss receiver at some distance (aprox. 50' ) from where my modulator for video distribution will be. Is this possible or will I get too much loss running video and audio interconnects that far? I was thinking of using premium RS interconnect wire and making my own audio cables. For video I was thinking of using RG6 with RCA connectors. Any suggested cables or types?
