Bjorn,

I must say to the defense of Bose, they have a reputation of taking care of their customers. Your problem is not normal - and it is terribly unfortunate for you to be getting a "run around" like you are. Clearly you had a defective sample which should have been replaced right away without hesitation.

Alan

: Hello Everybody,

: After 7 months of trouble with my BOSE dealer, I'm now publishing this problem to see if anyone has had familiar experiences.

: I bought a lifestyle 8 set (the new 'version 2' they told me) last May. After installing, the CD player made a high pitched noise, like something is scratching the surface. BOSE denied the problem (said I was the 1st to complain) and they would replace the CD-mechanism. Don't know if they did it, but it didn't help. I wrote a letter to BOSE in the USA, no response. My dealer in Holland responsed to me by saying it was a PRODUCTION (FACTORY) problem and they can't do anything until BOSE USA decides to change the design. They sent me an older 'version 1' type that doesn't make the high pitched noise. So does BOSE incorporate malfunctions each time they create a new, enhanced system?

: I don't believe that!

: Thanks in advance for any reactions,

: Bjorn.
