Distribution of audio from receiver

Just purchased the ES30 to replace a jurassic Technics receiver and am extremely pleased. Right now I have it connected to two front speakers and the a center (subwoofer and the rears are on their way). I would like to be able to distribute the signal to various rooms in the house. I had done this with my old receiver and a generic radio shack speaker switch box, but was never satisfied with the sound quality. The longest run will be about 80 feet, I'm not sure if that length requires additional power (amp?). Advice on constructing the system, right down to the brand of components needed and the type of cable, is greatly appreciated.
