Tweeking my HT...Video dubbing problems

Thank you all for taking the time to help sort out the video input problem I
was experiencing with my new recv'r. Your responses are appreciated.

I do have another question.

I purchased a Denon AVR 2400 for use with my HT. Other components are also Denon...Tape deck & CD. DSS Receiver, Cable and two VCR's, Standard and 8mm. All run through NHT's...VT1's, Center, Super Zero surrounds and NHT Sub.

I had some input problems...self inflicted...crossing the input formats. Thanks to Nigel for getting me through that mess!

The problem is now with dubbing to/from VCR1 to/from VCR2.

It is my understanding and hopes that the AVR2400 will support playback from either tape and record to either as well as record DSS or Cable to either/both VCR's.

At this point I doubt if this true as I am unable to record the
playback signal from/to either VCR and can only record the Cable/DSS
signal to VCR1.

I happened to find a phone number for Denon in the back of Home Theater
Magazine which was answered by the VP, Steven ??? He was quite cordial
and offered to help me saying "there is no time like the present, what's
up?" only to get interupted by the proverbial long distance call. As
yet he hasn't called back.
