Gary,EQs are great for HT if used properly and parametric EQs are best for room modes. They should be placed between the preamp and amp so that they do not mess up the processing of DPL signals. Tone controls are best for what you describe. Don : I have read (somewhere in this forum, I think) that an equalizer should not be used in an HT system. Why??? If there is a problem with the DPL circuits operating up-stream of the tape loop, could I place an EQ between my VCR and the receiver?? I find that for a lot of tapes, some type of equalization (usually to decrease the very top-end hiss, and to boost the very low-end bass)is necessary. Thanks for any help / comments.
