Low audio out from cable-box. Posted by Alan L. However a friend who lives in a near-by community has a cable box which has a remote volume control built in - he can even adjust the Ch3 RF modulator audio level! I can't help but wonder if your cable box has such an option and is stuck at a reduced level? Alan : Hi, I've got a modest HT setup with a Kenwood 1080VR receiver, and the problem I'm having is that the output of my cable box is producing very low audio out, so low in fact that when I record anything from cable to VCR, I can only play it on the HT setup (and not on any other VCR) due to the low sound levels. : I've tried the cable box on other TVs, and gotten the same result with or without a receiver, so it's definitely the box (why would anyone bother putting audio controls in a cable box in the first place?!?!?!) : Any solutions would be appreciated. : Thanks, : Mike
