Gary,

I am not an expert but do have some experience using component video and Svideo. I have a Lexicon DC-1 which has only Svideo and composite in/outputs. When switching from Svideo to component on my line doubler the audio stays in perfect sync with the picture. I do not use the audio delay feature built into the Lexicon.

Best regards, Don

: Hello a/v experts,
: I've purchased the Yamaha DSP-A1 for HT usages but will wait for the TV (alas, budgets). If the new TV choice happens to provide component video, can I take the component output directly from the DVD into the TV (since the DSP-A1 has no component out)?
: I'm concerned that there may be some time delay thru the A/V amp, and I'd likely be limited to only the DVD component output (direct-connect) since there might be no 'video source' selection switching thru the A/V amp. Meanwhile => S-vhs
: If the chosen DVD has component out, any problems with implementing it later?
: thanx for suggestions & comments, gary
