Yet another Optical/Coaxial question...

Anyways, I have the same type of "mediocre" system (read same price range) that includes an A110. I too have made a/b comparisons but have not been able to hear any real difference in the quality of the sound.

I do also think that digital IS digital and don't buy into the argument that toslink in prone to jitter. If anything, I think that coax would have more of a chance of loosing bits because of noise than fiber would, assuming there is nothing inherently wrong with the toslink cable.

By the way, I've also heard arguments about the bandwidth of toslink. At PCM, DD or DTS bit rates? I don't think so Tim...

I think I will try blind tests next...
