I would check carefully that you are comparing apples with apples. The Panamax is basically a surge protector with RFI/EMI suppression - it is not a "power conditioner" of the sort produced by Cinepro, Tice, Chang and Audio Power. I have no idea what the Monster claims to be, but I would doubt whether it is supposed to do much more than the Panamax.
