Need advice on the following HT system for $2000

Using Mozilla/4.5 [en] (Win95; U):

We're trying to put together a DVD player, a receiver, and speakers for $2000. Tell me what you think...

Receiver: Sony 30ES DD&DTS ($730)
DVD: Panasonic A110 ($340)
Speakers: Not sure, either 5 NHT Superones w/sub or Atlantic Technology 250.1 system

I have listened to the NHT's and am very impressed with them for the price. We were thinking about 5 Superones and a good sub to complement them - anyone got any suggestions? I was thinking about a Velodyne VA1012XII or something similiar for about $400.

We have also been considering the Atlantic Technology 250.1 system on clearance at www.onecall.com for $1032. Has anyone compared this system with the NHT's? Please don't bother replying if you haven't heard/owned them. Also, does anyone know if the 250.1 system from onecall.com would be under warranty or not?

We can get the Sony 30 ES receiver locally for a about $730 (high I know - anyone know where we could buy it for less and still retain the 5 year warranty?) Does anyone have any educated comments concerning this receiver? Any other recommendations for a receiver with DD&DTS for around $700-750?

PS:We can get the NHT's and the Velodyne sub locally for the same price - so price isn't the issue - just sound quality :)
