Buzz during applause in sit-coms

Using Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 4.01; Mac_PowerPC):

Recently purchased Yamaha AV Receiver with surround sound. When decoding Pro Logic, a very noticeable buzzing can be heard during applause sequences when viewing Sit-coms. Also seems to happen occasionaly when graphics and overlays are on the screen. Spoke with a tech at Yamaha who says he experiences the same thing with his unit...a normal occurance. Is this true of all Surround Sound decoders or just Yamaha's. I can't believe it's not able to be fixed.
