Buzz during applause in sit-coms

Pro-logic decoders shouldn't and won't buzz during applause if a) the decoder is working correctly and b) the source material isn't flawed. There are 101 ways to mess up the source and often the problem lies with the cable company and, to a lesser extent the satellite broadcast.

Before pointing the finger at your Yamaha, it would be best to try another source, a purchased videocassette recording of a comedy or concert or better yet, a laserdisc or DVD of similar material.
