Wire me up Scotty

Using Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 4.01; Windows 95):
I'm gunna take the HT Plunge and have wiring questions.1. What guage wire for surrounds (30 ft. reach) and a 140 watt/channel output.
2. What guage for mains (15 feet) & Sub (20 ft.)
3. What makes good speaker cable (I see 16 guage priced form $ .40/ft to 1.50 Plus)?
4. Can regular (fairly good) speaker wire with plastic around it go into the wall or is something else required?
5. Can wire for all speakers go in the wall together or will some kind of interference be generated?
6. Had planned to use bananna clips but looking at high end store saw some kind of connectors with a single pin thingy (technical term) at about a 30 deg angle. Is this a spade connector? Is it better? Appreciate any help. Jimmy C.
