Printer cable for Onkyo interconnection?

Using Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 4.01; Mac_PowerPC):

I have an Onkyo 919 receiver and am looking to add Onkyo's ED-301 Dolby Digital processor. I have found the processor locally for US$295, but I bridle a bit at having to spend an additional US$95 for a Monster Cable DB-25 to DB-25 cable with which to connect the two components.

Would anyone have an opinion as to whether a plain old DB-25 printer cable would do the trick?
