Yes, all you will need is a DTS decoder to provide DTS. I don't know of any external DTS decoders yet, but there is not any DTS S/W out there yet.

Some amplifiers (such as the Yamaha DSP-A1) have built-in DD and DTS decoders.

: i own a yamaha rv1103 dd receiver. I am in the market for a dvd player. I was looking at the panasonic a310 . It has dts inputs. Does that mean that if i get a dts decoder, i can have dts sound even through a dd reciever. Or do i have to have the decoding through the receiver. I want to have a dvd player capable of dts capability. Thanks for all the help
