IMHO, price will immediately determine the level of unit your are evaluating. Use $1700 as your indicator. Anything costing less will NOT do what Tice, Audio Industries, Cinepro, or Bybee claim they can do. All four of these companies have URL's and they all claim similar results. Anything under that price is a surge/spike protector and nothing more. BTW, we own the Panamax 1000+. It's a great surge/spike protector. I am exploring the idea of buying one of the more advanced units above $1700. I do believe that they can and will improve the overall performance of a system. Whether that improvement is audible, I do not know. Visually, I suspect the improvement will be detectable. Widescreen Issue #30 has a terrific article on this subject.
