The components on the system exhibit a number of electrical characteristics at the input and output stage. Interconnect cables also have their own set of electrical characteristics... and when you combine them you often get very different results. On a very revealing system it's easy to hear the difference, that's why so many audiophiles visit the lunatic fringe when buying cables! I feel that you should at least spend enough to buy a good, solid quality cable that will hold up to years of use. Look for good quality ends that are attached well to the cable. If you go with the entry level cables from from brands as AudioQuest, Kimber, Straight-Wire and the like you should be just fine. I know of people who have been pleased with the gold-ended cables from Radio Shack - the ends are almost *too* tight but they are a good starting point. : Enjoy, : Alan Anyone have an opinion on MonsterCable as opposed to AudioQuest or Kimber? I am interested in good, solid interconnects that will not degrade my system and also will not degrade my bank balance to a significant degree. Thanks for the help. Bob Moss
