Bob,

Tell you a true story (oh ooooooh!). Many years ago a friend broght over a pair of Monster M300 interconnects for me to listen to. I was astounded at the improvement in sound over the cables I was using. However as time went on I tried more and more cables, I am to the point that I can trace wiring behind my system (and what a mess it is!) by the brand/color very easily. Personally I have lost favor with Monster (even the M1000) - and now lean toward AudioQuest (I have several runs of AQ Ruby - including preamp to power amp) and StrightWire has been good. I tried 2 pair of Tara Labs and didn't like them, however I strongly believe it was a component to component interaction that played into that experience. BTW I have tried Radio Shack's cables with the gold ends and am impressed for what you get for the money. I have not tried Kimber - but why not try a pair of PBJ's from someone who has a liberal return policy?

Best regards,

Alan

: Anyone have an opinion on MonsterCable as opposed to AudioQuest or Kimber?

: I am interested in good, solid interconnects that will not degrade my system and also will not degrade my bank balance to a significant degree.

: Thanks for the help.
