I installed this product a few months ago in my Home Theater myself and it works like a charm. I have programmed my Marantz RC 2000 to dim and turn lights on/off.
Great product 'Nigel' go for it.

: I just want to give this product a plug. It is about as basic as remote controlled lighting can get - the dimmer unit replaces the exisiting dimmer or on/off switch. Lutron make a version for systems where the light is switched from one location (2 wire) and a version for multiple (3 wire) switched lights. Dimming and on/off can be controlled from the dimmer itself or using the supplied i/r remote control. 3 buttons do all the work and the codes are programmable into a learning r/c unit like the RC200 - so you can build lighting commands into macros.

: OK so it's a big boy's toy, but very cool. Sreet price around $100.
