Optical cables are not costly, so try it and listen to the results. I have used both optical (TosLink) and coaxial with different results... but try it first before we compare notes.

: I have a Sony CDP-C615 CD player made back in 1991 and it has an optical output. Would I get better sound using a Tos-link than using the analog outputs? I have played the same CDs through my Pan 110 DVD player with the digital coax hooked up and the sound is fuller and deeper.
