: I have a Home Theater that needs remote lighting control. Problem is the existing wall mounted dimmer is NOT line of sight of the seating position.

: Is there a product out there can can solve my problem? Maybe a remote wall mounted dimmer with relocatable IR receiver? The only thing I can think of is to relocate the dimmer around the corner, around 2' away, and go with something from Lutron. Any ideas?

Xantech make a line of products based around IR receivers and emitters but for your needs they would be overkill I think. Easiest would be to relocate the box and use a product like the Lutron Spacer (see thread below), or go with a 2 switch system, leaving one in the existing location and adding the dimmer in a more convenient place. Some rewiring and a different version of the Spacer (and a new switch at the original location) would be required for this solution.

Having just installed a Spacer myslef, I don't think you will regret it!!
