mega cd changers

I would like to hold all my 400-600 CDs in one or more mega CD changers. Furthermore, I would like to be able to put away (in a closet) the bulky CD changers and only see an elegant control unit that shows the CD title and perhaps track name (or #). Is this sort of configuration possible? Any suggestions would be most appreciated.
