I think that Direct TV's DD formatted movies are great. My friend has the RCA 5451RB receiver, and the audio is superb. The one drawback is that Direct TV only offers the DD format on 2 Pay Per View channels, and 1 Preview channel. As soon as more people start upgrading their receivers to be capable of receiving the 5.1 format, then Direct TV is almost forced to put out more movies in the DD format. I say go for it, and buy the receiver because it will be so worth your while.
