Acoustics

I'm in the process of finishing my home theater and have some questions about room acoustics. The room is 23 ft long by 14 1/2 ft wide by 8 ft high.I was planning on finishing the walls and ceiling with 2" pyramid foam.Will this make the room too dead? Can a room be too dead?what are my best options? Thanks in advance.
