Well, if Nigel can shamelessly plug, I can shamelessly agree!

The Marantz MC2000 - MKII programable remote is great. Easy to use, easy to program, macro capability (multiple commands like turning the TV, DSS, amp, select correct input on amp ...up to 22 steps per macro, if memory serves).

The unit has a nice heft to it, without being heavy, well laid out, and the baclighting is great.

Can be had for under $200 (bought mine at Uncle's Stereo in NY).

Can't recommend it more highly ... especially since, I have a Sony 50ES receiver and the remote on that is so frustrating. However, after a few minutes of judicious programming, it sits on a shelf, while the Marantz controls everything.

: : Can a learning remote be programed so if I press just one button I can turn on the TV, Satellite receiver, and Stereo receiver? If so, what is a good learning remote?

: Forgive the shameless plug but please see my review of the RC2000 mark II on the main SMR site. I think there is a link to the site on the main Forums menu page. If there isn't please Stuart can you add one?
