RC2000 MK-II two questions...

I just purchased a Mark II and am so far am very pleased with it. 1. My receiver is not located near my other equipment, but is in the same room. All other remotes will operate all devices in my room without having to re-aim to different locations, The IR must bounce around the room pretty well. I've found, however, that this Mark II must be aimed almost dead-on the disired target or it will not work. Has anyone else run into this, and is there some component I can purchase which will take the IR signal, and resend it in mutliple directions?2. Does any one know of a way to make this remote capable of working with X-10 system devices? A sort of IR to RF kind of thing so I can use the MKII to also control my X-10 lighting. I currently have X-10 remotes that work nicely, but would be nice to tie EVERYthing into one single remote. 3. Just a couple notes on the MK-II. The info found here is appreciated. It helped me decide on the MK-II over other units. I particulary like the ability to rename the LCD devices. I have used a programable remote that was distributed by Radio Shack for about 10 years now. Believe it or not... this unit actually did more than the MKII. I could (can) program scheduled sequences with it... such as turn on the VCR at a specific time, power up the DSS , and change the channel, start the VCR recording, set the lenght of recording, then stop the VCR, rewind it, and eject it. This was great for my wife who wanted to record her soap opra every day. Todays' VCR's and other stuff have all these options built it, but it was so convenient for my wife to simply press two buttons, and set the remote on the coffee table, knowing that when she got home, she could again push two buttons to power everythng up, and push the tape back in the VCR to start playing it. For it's time, and even now, this programmable remote is one true powerhouse for controlling multiple devices, macros, and schedules. Although the MK-II is more intuitive, and has a better layout of keys, it really doesn't do any more than that 10 year old remote. I'm afraid though, that one of these days, the backup battery will go, and I doubt I could ever get a replacement. Re-programming the thing after changing the AA batteries every few months just would not be a "fun" thing to do. That's why I bought the new MK-II. Ed
