RC2000 MK-II two questions... Posted by Robert [IP: 209.91.105.36] on November 27, 1998 at 19:47:56: In Reply to: RC2000 MK-II two questions... posted by Ed Kuhlman on November 26, 1998 at 12:41:56: In partial answer to your two questions... 1) I have the RC2000 non Mk II and it has an extremely powerful iR emitter. No directional problems. 2) Get the URC-3000 iR to X10 box. Check out HasPro, see the link below. There's no RF involved, rather its a direct conversion from iR to X10 powerline carrier. You'll also have to get one of the URC (One-for-all) remotes like the URC-4050 to teach the RC2000 the iR codes. This pre-programmed (non-learning) universal remote contains the proprietary codes to operate the URC-3000 and can be learned by the RC2000. I have done this and it works very well. I'm sure it will also work on the Mk II. On, Off, Bright, Dim, All On, All Off and addresses 1 through 9 can be programmed, I havn't figured out how to do addresses 10 through 16. Of course these commands can be included in macros too. Both these units together should be less than $50.00. Have fun
