Tactile Transducers?

I've been reading about tactile transducers and was wondering if anybody has any experience with them? I am considering purchasing some RBH transducers for my home theater couch. I would like to hear from anyone who has actually "felt" them (RBH, Clark, or any others). Are they worth the money or is this just a gimmick that is fun for a few movies then gets old?

Also, has anybody made their own transducers or used their own amp for their transducers? Thanks.
