I prefer somewhat more live side walls with a pretty dead wall behind the front speakers (unless you are using bipole/dipole speakers) The back wall needs some deadening at the high frequencies to help eliminate phase bounce problems between reflected front signals and direct ambience generated from the rears. Not an easy task. Math works great to get you close. After that, it is just good old fashioned trial and error. Good Luck! Do you read SGHT?
