ir question/problem
Posted by harvey goldman [IP: 154.11.120.110] on July 22, 1999 at 11:19:18 I use a Sony distribution system to send signals to remote TV's thru my home. Picture quality is satisfactory at those sets. IR transmission thru the co-ax cables works fine. My problem is two-fold. Firstly the Sony unit has two mini-emitters for IR. I have more than two sources I would like to control. Secondly I find the the mini's a pain to stick on and unsightly. Is there some sort of high power emitter I could plug into the Sony unit instead of the mini-emitters which would allow me to cover more components. By way of background - the Sony only has two inputs for video. I use the second zone feature on my receiver to control the second video source. That way I can distribute my dss on one channel and share the second channel for VCRs and DVD.
