Sorry Barrett, I have no experience with the wiring (yet), but as a suggestion put in some electrical conduit between the rooms. This will allow you to change your mind and pull out the old cables and pull in new ones later. Also useful if you are testing different brands. Note that you will have to put in a rather large conduit if you plan to pull terminated cables through.
