Equalizer for H/K AVR40

Using Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 4.01; Windows NT):

Currently I'm using H/K AVR40 receiver with Warfedale Valdus speakers. Can anyone suggest a matching equalizer in between? Or do I really need one to improve the freq. response at the first place.
