Well, based on this information, I have to conclude it's a "design fault" in your front speakers' built-in powered subs. All I can suggest is leave the "thumping" powered speakers ALWAYS ON, assuming they have signal "auto-detect" circuitry. If the separate sub doesn't "thump" with the Panamax, that's probably the "best" setup you'll have to live with.
