Using Mozilla/4.5 [en] (WinNT; I):

Hi all,

I'm really a newbie here, but you guys seem to know what you're talking about. I thought perhaps you can give me some advise on the following.

I'm planning to buy a (dolby digital) A/V reciever/amplifier to use in combination with my VCR and TV (both Sony), and soon a DVD-player. My question concerns the following. I would like to use the amplifier to record tapes and old records on my computer (and then to CD-R, of course). What is the best way to do this (what connectors, and what system should I use)?

I currently have a SB Live soundcard (retail version) in my pc, and I wondered whether I can use the digital connectors on the add-on card, to connect my pc to the amplifier. Perhaps this soundcard is not suited for what I want? That's a lot of questions, but any information about this subject is very much appreciated.

Thanks,

Erwin Hans
