Thanks again for the feedback Ken.I think that, all things considered, I will go with your suggestion re.'housing' my components in a separate cabinet. I guess that I was reluctant to do this as it involves the purchase of longer cables and also I was afraid of video/audio deterioration because of these longer cables.The problem of 'whirring' noises didn't really occur to me, but yes, I can see that being annoying. As a newbie (I hate that word) to this forum, I am really impressed with the feedback that I have received and I have noticed that you are responsible for a lot of those answers--nice to see that somebody takes so much time to reply to other people's problems. Keep up the good work and I've no doubt---I WILL BE IN TOUCH. Thanks.
