Networks in speaker cables? Transparent approach

MIT has two patents on the networks:
4,954,787 'Audio Signal Transmission System with Noise Suppression Network,'
and
5,142,252 'Audio Signal Transmission line with a Low Pass Filter.'
From the sound of the titles these are for signal suppression well above the audio band. I seriopusly doubt that it filters out anything near 20khz at an audible level. Try to do a double blind listening test to minimize your bias and see if you can differentiate between MIT cables and the 12/14ga zip cord, at a statistically significant level.
