My gut (rather large) tells me the INCOMING SIGNAL is at fault, rather than your equipment.

I, too, have experienced "the whistles", andit's always due to the incoming signal (a litle too "hot", I think).

You might try an isolator if you wish. I suggest you make a video recording of the "tweeters" and present it to your cable provider.

Question: do "the tweeters" occur on EVERY STATION or just a few? I find the USA Network is THE WORST offender in regards to "tweeters", video noise, and similar channel woes....
