Gound Loop with DSS Cable

Using Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 4.5; Mac_PowerPC):
I've isolated my ground loop problem to the cable that runs from my dss dish to the dss receiver. The weird part about this is that even if I disconnect AC to the dss receiver as well as disconnect all rca audio- outs from the dss receiver to the processor, the cable still interjects noise. When I disconnect the cable, the noise goes away. Kinda like talking on a non-wireless phone without it being plugged into the wall. Kinda spooky. How can noise get to the speakers if I disconnected ac and audio outs??The big question, however, is will the cure work just as well on dss sat as on cable tv that I read about somewhere else on this site ??? Also, I have absolutely no mechanical background whatsoever, and assembling what is suggested is beyond me. Is there something that I can just buy over the counter, plug it in and make this damn hum go away ????? Larry Wien
