power conditioners and surge supressors

I, personally, consider such claims to be HOOEY! however, NOBODY who has electronic equipment should be without some sort of surge protection (line filtering is a plus, too!).

Expensive conditioners, if you get the right one, will actually help MAINTAIN A CONSTANT AC VOLTAGE LEVEL into your equipment (i.e. minimize/remove "long-term" surges and sags) which your equipment will appreciate.

At any rate, try one (or more), and see if any "sonic" improvement occurs. If there's no "sonic improvement", KEEP IT ANYWAY for the protection value! :)
