audio vs. video cable

Thanks for the info, sounds like no matter what the explanation everyone agrees it's safest to simply use the same type of interconnect for both channels. For now I'll keep them (they were actually purchased too long ago to reasonably expect a refund/exchange). However, I'm strongly suspicious that Radio Shack (Archer) used/uses the same cable for both applications, and simply puts a differnent RCA connector (white/red for audio, yellow for video). If what Nigel is saying is correct, that a video cable meeting the correct specs can serve as an audio cable, I would imagine it might be cheaper for Archer to use a single type of cable during the manufacture of cables that get joined together into pairs or threes. Plus, I noticed yesterday at a Radio Shack that a single cable was being sold as an'Audio/Video' cable, also suggesting it can be used for either.
