: The recent article in Widescreen Review said that amplifiers with this much power would see a clamping on the current draw in using the Monster 3500, being that it should be used with amps of no more than 90 watts per channel.
: Whats your thoughts on this ?????

If you try to draw more power than the conditioner is rated for (i.e. 500 W from a 450W conditioner), then you will encounter problems with clamping, or even FRYING THE $UCKER!

That's why it's important to ADD-UP THE INDIVIDUAL POWER DRAW of everything you want to power (receiver, DVD, TV, etc.) and get a conditioner that has AT LEAST 50% MORE CAPACITY (I personally recommend DOUBLE the capacity!) to handle power-on surges and such.

Unfortunately, higher-power equates to higher price tag (usually on a "logarithmic" scale ;) ).

That's my thoughts. :)
