Hi Tim,

Just a bit of more information on what Ken provided. I believe PA stands for Public Address. These are the systems that they use for speaches and public performances etc. to mix inputs from various microphones and other music/sound sources to be fed to the PA amplifiers.

A lot of them are available in RS and stores like Fry's Electronics.
