The two pieces of software are for all intents and purposes the same - well at least the first version was - I don't think the RC5000 software has caught up with the recently released newer (and apparently somewhat problematic) upgrade to the Pronto software.

You can download the RC5000 softare from the link below to see if it will work on NT4, or hop over to Remote Central and ask in the forum there.
