Sony TV input/output connection to HTS. Help!

Using Mozilla/4.5 [en] (Win98; U):

I'm a complete electronic novice but over the weekend managed to hook up a sony home theatre system which works great with the stereo and VCR but I can't find a way to connect it to the television - also Sony brand. The directions show cables going in AND out from the TV to the receiver, but the back of my television only has three prong plugs: 1 for video, 2 for audio (left and right). The all appear to be "in". There is an S-video connection but I haven't a clue if that's at all useful - nothing noted in documentation. Short of buying a new television what could be the solution, is there some sort of adapter that can provide the in/out capability? Thank you so much for ANY help you can provide!!
