Help! posted by Carol Ustico on October 25, 1999 at 23:05:42: Your Answer in a nutshell... You Signal chain needs to go as follows; CATV (cable) into your VCR. From the VCR you connect the Video Out (Yellow), Audio Right Out (red), and audio Left out (white) to the inputs on your reciever that are marked VCR, just match color for color. If you have an S-Vid output on your VCR, and input on your Reciever, that would be preferred over the Yellow cable, but if you dont have the option......Now from the Reciever you connect the Video out (yellow), to the Video in on the TV. If you still desire to use the TV's speakers then also connect the red and white cables. I personally wouldn't use them, I feel they dillute the stereo effect that the theatre gives. With this configuration, you now control what channel you are watching by the VCR, unless you have a cable box, then you set your VCR to channel 3 (or4) and control what channel you are watching from the cable box. Volume is controlled by the Recievers remote control.... I hope I've helped, more than I confused you...
