50ES Remote: RM-TP501 vs. RM-TP501E

Using Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 5.0; MSN 2.5; Windows NT):

It seems that the new remote model# is RM-TP501E per Sony customer service Rep. Anyone who has received the 50ES lately please let me know what the model # is on your remote. I just received one last week and model # on it is RM-TP501, without the "E". This remote seems very dim still and also turns the TV "ON" when I change the component, for example when I select CD it turns on my TV.
