Optimizing connection from CD player to SBLive!
Posted by Reto [IP: 194.51.152.30] on March 31, 1999 at 02:46:06 I have my Sony 200CD player connected to the line-in of my SBLive! for remote control purposes (sound effects etc.). When the CD player is directly hooked up to my hometheatre system (Yamaha), there is an excellent sound quality. However, if connected via my SBLive Line-in input I can notice some distortions, mainly in the very low (bass) and the very high (perhaps around 12-16 Khz) frequencies, as if the input signal would be too strong. I can also notice that the CD Player source signal is much louder than from any other sources such as WAV, Midi etc. Is there a way to improve the input signal (I am using now an RCA-to-minijack cable)? Appreciate any help.
