Creation of CD-R 16-Bit or .....

Using Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 5.0; Windows 95):

When making a CD-R on a PC (for personal use of course), will copying a 20-bit or higher rated CD track downgrade the bit rate on the CD-R burned track?

I am not sure of this, but it is curious. I assume that since your are copying digital data, and the data is being extracted from the original CD, that it would copy over and be the same as the original...right? There is no analog process there, unless you convert the track to a ".wav" file first.

I am most interested in knowing if the new 96Khz tracks will still be at the proper bit rate if copied.

If anyone has any clues or insight....
