Basic question about sound.

I see what you mean, so if you crank up the volumne(voltage) to double of what you have for one speaker, then the amount of current will be the same as for the single speaker, will you then get twice as loud as one speaker?

I know for one speaker you will need 10X the wattage to output 2x of the sound. By connecting the speakers in series seems like you can get 2x sound in less than 10X power. Am I missing something, or there is some degradation of the sound quality that will happen when you do this.
