1.) If you double the voltage to a speaker (assuming the speaker is linear) you double the voltage, current (and thus the power goes up by 4), and you double the pressure output and therefore the SPL goes up by 6 dB. If you double the power input to a speaker the SPL goes up by 3 dB. 2.) IF you add a second sub woofer with its own power amp and thus double the pressure then the increase is 6 dB. 3.) If you add a speaker in series with another speaker with the same volume (and thus voltage) then the current will drop in half and the pressure and thus the SPL will stay the same. 4.) If you add the second speaker in parallel with the first speaker with the volume (voltage) the same the overall current will double (and thus power will double), but the SPL will increase by 6 dB because of two times the pressure.
